Coatl Coffee Dark Roast is a full bodied bold roast emphasizing tasting notes of citrus, roasted cacao and almond. Our coffee is hand selected then imported directly from the farm to our roasting facility in Oceanside, California where we hand roast on our hi-tech roasting equipment. Our coffee has been naturally processed with low acidity to minimize discomfort. Recommended brew for our dark roast is drip or cold brew.
The coffee you are purchasing is 100% bird friendly. What this means is that there are over 100 different varieties of birds that are present on the farm in which our coffee grows, including the famous Quetzal, an elegant, exotic mystical creature. The large trees that shade the coffee plants provide perfect conditions not only for the coffee but for these wonderful creatures that sing and maintain the eco-system of the farm. The bird friendly certification is given by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center and is very difficult to obtain, which is why we are proud to share that our coffee is bird friendly, and a portion of the proceeds from your purchase will go to the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center.
